This oval shaped porcelain vase with tapering sides has a tight padded effect.  The vase is made from one single slab of porcelain that has been cut, and folded into shape, joined around the base and down the back. The piece is glazed with a shiny transparent glaze inside and the 'pin heads' of the padding have been picked out with mother-of-pearl lustre.  The vase is 14cm tall and the base is 11cm wide x 6cm deep and the top is 7cm x 5cm.
