This little porcelain jug has an embroidered effect robin sitting on a branch on one side and a pair of feathers on the other side.  I embroidered the bird and feathers on the sewing machine and then cast this in plaster. From this I could press porcelain into the plaster and construct the jug in sections.  The stitched texture is overpainted with cobalt before the final high temperature firing to give a lovely rich blue finish. There are three sprigged porcelain buttons on the base.  The jug is 8.5cm tall with a base of 9cm.    The jug is dishwasher safe.
