This porcelain vase has the texture of embroidered branches of flowering magnolia wrapping around its softly folded surface.  The machine embroidered stitches have been overpainted with cobalt at the bisque stage to give a rich, traditional blue.  The remaining exterior is unglazed, the interior is glazed and the rim has a real gold lustre.  The vase is 14.5cm tall and the base is 12cm x 6cm with top dimensions of 7.5cm x 5.5cm.
