This large porcelain jug has the texture of embroidered branches of flowering magnolia wrapping around its surface.  The machine embroidered stitches have been overpainted with cobalt at the bisque stage to give a rich, traditional blue.  The remaining exterior is unglazed, the interior and handle is glazed.  The jug is 20cm tall and the base is 13.5cm, making it perfect for use as a vase for flowers as well as use as a jug.
