This porcelain jug has a fabric texture and on one side there is an applique dupion silk heart with some hand stitched embroidery stitches.  On the other side is a textile applique star, again incorporating hand stitches, which on both sides have been painted individually with cobalt prior to the final high temperature firing, to give a rich blue finish.  The interior and handle are glazed and the exterior is matt.  There are three sprigged buttons on the base as feet and the jug is signed on the base too. The jug is 12cm tall with an 8.5cm base diameter. It is fully functional and dishwasher safe.
