My studio is close to the location of Morris's Liberty fabric printing workshop at Merton Abbey Mills and this jug has floral designs influenced by William Morris's daisies.  The free-motion embroidered texture of the stitches, depicting daisies on one side and primulas on the other has been overpainted with cobalt at the bisque stage to give the rich traditional blue that is so beautiful with porcelain.  The interior and and handle have a shiny transparent glaze.    The jug is 14cm high and has a slightly oval shape with a base 10cm x 8.5cmwide.  Dishwasher safe with care.
